As some of you know, I'm pretty seriously into videography and I go to the annual National Association of Broadcasters trade show every April.
The GoPro company had trade show special that's a really good deal:
Normally $300, I can get the GoPro HD Helmet Hero kit for $200 with free UPS ground. That particular kit doesn’t have the suction cup mount, but that can be ordered separately for $30 (the suction cup works well and I think is a must-have -- it sucks better than your ex...never had it fall off the Plexiglass behind the net).
I have two already and use them a lot so if you have further questions, just ask me. They are very simple cameras with no built-in viewfinder but a very wide field of view (127 degrees in 1080p30 mode and 170 degrees in 720p30). They are excellent in bright light, but not so good in less light. They record mpeg4 files to SDHC cards (not included, but pretty cheap at Best Buy or wherever). There’s also lots of info on them as well as accessories at the GoPro.com web site.
I’ll place my order by tomorrow (Thursday) evening so if you do want me to order one on your behalf using my discount, let me know by then. I'm on SCNHL Grey this season and have the middle game at 8:35PM tonight so you can catch me before or after. I'd prefer to have the cash, or at least half, before ordering so I don't get stuck with buying extra cameras.
Should have the order in hand by May 15th and will get them to you shortly thereafter. Just thought I’d mention it since I’ll be placing an order anyway.
