Edmonton Oilers coach Rob Daum will be hosting an adult hockey camp during evenings for a 1 week period from August 9 – August 13 –2010.
***CONFIRMED PRICE****The cost of the camp will be $250.00, for those players who commit and pay by July 15, 2010 and will include 9.5 hours of on ice instruction and game times. This camp will be ideal for adult skaters who wish to improve on their basic hockey skills and techniques.
DETAILS OF CAMP
The adult camp premise is 2 hours of ice time for 4 evenings and 1.5 hours of ice time for one evening. The format of the camp will be an NHL style practice for 60 to 75 minutes followed by a scrimmage each evening. The final day of the camp will consist of a game only. There will be some skill development during
the practice but the primary focus will be on advanced team situations and concepts. For example, proper execution of 1 on 1’s; 2 on 1’s; 3 on 3’s; 3 on 2’s from both an offensive and defensive perspective. Team play concepts and systems such as defensive zone coverage, breakouts, neutral zone offence and
defence, forechecking schemes and concepts plus power play and penalty killing team techniques and concepts. Each on ice session will be followed by an off- ice question and answer discussion designed to clarify and/or elaborate on the skills concepts and systems covered on ice. By the end of the camp each participant will have improved their personal skills and have a greater understanding of the concepts and systems involved in the game of hockey.
The camp will be restricted to 30 skaters and 4 goalies that will be divided into 2 teams
