Am about to head back and continue the process. The curling circles are salvaged, and except for one, are in very good shape. I guess their re-usability is why they were so expensive! There is some sand to fill in, then start freezing in earnest. After that, probably tomorrow, we start painting. That is a pretty cool process, and requires several helpers to hold the hoses off the ice so it doesn't "burn" holes in it. It is also very slow, when done correctly, so that means a bunch of people over a period of time. I will coordinate those volunteers. Please contact me by cell, since I will be working, not sitting at the computer! ;-) Thanks, Jeff

HUGE thanks to all who came out and moved sand! That back-breaking part is over, now the real fun begins, making ice! There will be much standing on a frozen surface, holding a warm hose in the air to keep it from "burning" the ice. It is agonizingly slow, but the time to catch up with a neighbor is invaluable! There will be some painting in there at some point as well. Also, there's still a lot of general clean-up opportunity... Come on out if you can spare a few hours! Thanks! Jeff

The ice is building up slowly. We really need any volunteers who are interested to come out and help anytime, especially overnight, to help keep sprying water on. The delicate part is pretty much behind us, now we build ice! See last 3 photos on gallery... Thanks! Jeff
