The $500 deposit for the Hitmen try-out goes into the payment for the next year... the reason they do that is because they only want people who are serious about playing for the Hitmen, because every year the tryouts are full and if they have 10 or so kids on the ice just for the fun of it,then it makes it harder to evaluate the players who actually are trying to get on the team, and not just out there for ice time.
Also, if you are serious about playing for the Hitmen Organization and you make the deposit,but fail to make the team then you get your deposit back.
